Despite this cover image being creepy (as fuck), it did make me chuckle. I would attribute it to the AI that generated it, but I’m not going to because fuck the AI. They don’t give credit where it’s due. Two can play at that game. It’s fAiR uSe, bitch. My prompt was: I’d like an obviously AI generated image exemplifying some of the classic stupid things AI has told people to do, such as put glue on pizza, eating rocks daily, etc.
If you’ve followed any of my posts or content lately, or you know me personally, you’re probably familiar with my rants on artificial intelligence and my simultaneous sense of awe and disgust over what it’s doing to our society and the broader impacts of AI for future generations. This past spring, I was invited to give my opinion on AI with the Wake Forest University Information Systems digital team. I’d love to take credit for being so well known and interesting that they felt compelled to track me down for this interview, but as it turns out, I work there so it wasn’t exactly a stretch for them to call me. I’ve known Ryan and Michael for a while now and I do like the direction they’re going with this podcast. Still, I was honored that they found my opinion interesting enough to include it in one of their episodes, so I accepted. Here’s the end result if you’d like to know what my voice sounds like. Give it a listen!
