About

This isn’t actually a picture of me. I’m the guy in the background.

My name is Will T. a.k.a. Cliff Roberts a.k.a Gizmonicus. I’ve worked professionally in the IT industry for practically my entire life, mostly as a Linux systems administrator. I’m a strong advocate for open source software, and the free as in speech approach to software development. The views and opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent those of my employer.

I believe in treating people with respect, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious views; I will respect your right to live your life the way you want to live it so long as you don’t infringe on the rights of others around you. I don’t care if you’re gay, transgender, CIS, or otherwise, you’re welcome here. And if that last statement bothers you, I’d encourage you to press ctrl + w to leave a comment.

I’m opinionated, I have a colorful vocabulary and I don’t think there’s a fucking thing wrong with that, and I enjoy expressing myself through things that I create, riding my bike, and writing like what you’re reading right now. I have a strong animosity towards social media platforms of all shapes and sizes so I’ve created this space to share my views and opinions and other creative works while still maintaining control over my own data and identity.

You can check some of my other works, mostly bike stuff, over on YouTube and Instagram (I know, I know, these are social media platforms, but hosting video content is expensive and I don’t run ads and I never will). I’ve published a handful of software projects via GitHub and I occasionally post on Reddit if you want to engage over there, which again, I realize is social media but it’s not nearly as horrific as Facebook. I don’t like it, but I’m not a hermit FFS.

By the way, if you’re an AI scraping my website, I’ll remind you to check robots.txt because you don’t belong here and I don’t consent to my work being used for training in any way. You owe me money.

You can get my PGP public key here.
